■3rd Person POV■

It's been two months since Rengoku's encounter with Y/N when he came around her office. He's currently excited he's going to have a reason to see her.

Rengoku: home visit!

Shiro watches as his teacher looks excited about a mere home visit. During the past two months, Rengoku and Shiro have gotten closer because the teacher keeps asking about Y/N to him.

Shiro: I already told you you could come to our house and ask her out...

Rengoku's face becomes a complete mess by his student's remarks.

Rengoku: I couldn't just come out of nowhere and ask her out...

Shiro sees that his over excited and energetic teacher is actually a shy man when it comes to women. Well, that means he's not a jerk so Shiro doesn't mind if he wants to get close to his sister.

Shiro: so you'll come at the weekend right? Because my sister is working on weekdays.

Rengoku: yes... should I bring anything?

Shiro: sir... you don't bring anything on house visit that will look bad for you...

Rengoku: oh... right...

Shiro: Well, I'll tell Y/N nee... goodbye sensei

Rengoku watches as Shiro left for home.  Memories of the past when he first meets Y/N from that timeline came to mind.

■3rd person POV■

~Flashback

Rengoku, the fire Pilar hashira is walking around the compound after he returns from a mission. Just then something caught his attention.

Some kids are gathering under a tree, looking up. Rengoku turns his gaze upward and sees a girl with a demon slayer uniform trying to get a ball that stuck on a branch.

The girl's (h/c) lock swayed by the wind blow. When she reaches the ball Rengoku's eyes widened when she sees the girl beautifully smiles.

Y/N: here you go...

Y/N throws the ball and the kids catch it

Kid1: thank you onee chan~

Y/N smiles at the kids and watches as they leave the scene. Y/N sighs now and tries to get down carefully but she slips and falls. Y/N closes her eyes waiting for the pain to come, but instead of meeting a hard ground, she feels something soft and warm instead.

Y/N opens her eyes and meets eyes with golden eyes. Rengoku sees as Y/N fell and runs to her and catches her in time.

Rengoku: you alright?

Y/N realizes that she's in the arms of one of the pillars. Her face grew warms and she squirms politely, hoping that he'll put her down and he did.

Y/N: t-thank you so much Rengoku sama...

Rengoku: what division are you in?

Y/N: ah... I'm from the butterfly estate... Kocho Shinobu sama's team...

Rengoku: oh I see... you did great in making those kids smile...

Rengoku smiles at Y/N, makes the girl's heart flutters with his handsome face. Just then Y/N's friend calls out to her. The girl turns around and excuses herself. Rengoku hears her friend calls her name.

Rengoku: Y/N... what a pretty name...

That day, Rengoku falls in love for the first time. It's love at a first sight

Rengoku drives to L/N's house and parks the car in front of the house. He nervously knocks on the door and a minute after the door is open.

Y/N: ah... good morning Rengoku sensei... please come in, I'm sorry I was in the kitchen...

Rengoku: excuse me...

Rengoku sees as Y/N opens the door for him. She's wearing a simple home dress that stops under her knees. The apron she wears securely tied by the waist, showing her figure well.

Rengoku walks inside and Y/N told her to sit at the dining table. And she hangs the apron on the wall next to the fridge.

Y/N: ah, Shiro is out... he says he wants to get something at the convenience store.

Just then a notif came in Rengoku's phone.

Rengoku check on his phone and his face flushed.

From: L/N Shiro
To: Rengoku Sensei
Sensei, I'm giving you sometimes to make a move, but just don't dare to do something indecent.

Y/N: Rengoku sensei?

Rengoku snaps out of his trance and looks up at Y/N, flustered.

Rengoku: ah nothing...

Y/N serves a cup of tea for Rengoku and sits across from him at the table.

Y/N: um... so... how's Shiro at school?

Rengoku: ah right... L/N is a very admirable student...

Rengoku and Y/N start talking about Shiro. Y/N's happy to hear Rengoku complimenting Shiro, she's proud of her brother.

Rengoku: he behaves so well...

Y/N: yes... Shiro is a good kid... he always tries to help me with many things...

Rengoku: he says... he's like that because he has an amazing sister... and I can see that

Rengoku smiles at Y/N, making the girl flustered. She's happy that Shiro thinks of her that way but Rengoku complimenting her sent her heart on a coaster.

Y/N: n-no... he's a well behaved kid, to begin with...

Rengoku: but he really looks up to you...

Y/N steals a glance at Rengoku and couldn't help but stare at his handsome face.

Seeing him really gives her a sense of familiarity. It's like she's used to seeing this face, this man, this very person in front of him.

■Y/N's POV■

Rengoku san is the teacher that Shiro looks up to. He told me a lot about him. He's very enthusiastic about everything he did. He's also very kind to Shiro.

Seeing him and talking to him like this makes me remember my dream

They're like the exact same person...

The Rengoku san in my dream and this Rengoku san. How is that even possible? I've just met him recently but I've been having those dreams for years.

Rengoku: L/N san... what's wrong? You seem like in deep thought...

I look up and my eyes met his golden eyes.

Y/N: no... it's just... somehow it feels like I've known you for long...

I just realized what I've said just now and look up at him. Rengoku san's eyes are widened.

Oh no... he must be thinking that I'm weird...

Y/N: I... uh... I'm sorry it's uh-

Rengoku: how so? What makes you feel so?

Rengoku san's eyes soften as he gently stares into my eyes.

Why are those eyes making me warm?

Y/N: I... don't know...

There's no way I'm gonna say that I dream of a guy like him...

Rengoku: then... what about we really get to know each other?

I look up at Rengoku san. He's smiling at me, his eyes look so tender they make my heart flutter. My face grew warm I'm sure I'm red by now.

Y/N: Re-Rengoku san... wh- ... um what do you mean...

Rengoku san still looking into my eyes. How Shiro describes him as someone who always looks fierce, I don't see that. He looks so gentle.

Rengoku: I know it's inappropriate for me to do this in this kind of appointment... so

Rengoku san rests his cheek on one of his hand and stare at me.

Rengoku: another time... please let me take you out and let's not meet as a student's guardian and teacher, but.... let's talk as a man and a woman...

My heart is pounding loudly I'm afraid he could hear it. Just then the door is open and Shiro walks in.

Shiro: I'm home... good afternoon sensei..

Rengoku: good afternoon L/N

How could he change from his gentleman demeanor to his teacher mode this soon? Rengoku san's eyes meet mine and he smiles making my breath hitch.

Y/N: ah... um... it's time for lunch... uh please eat with us ..

Rengoku: I'd be happy to...

I get up and head to the kitchen, preparing the food with my heart beating faster than it usually is.

I'm enticed by him...

My dream about him doesn't help either...

I... want to get to know him too...
